Energy Company's processes are the
most economical and cost effective means of recovering products
from food processing waste while eliminating costly conventional
waste treatment. Our process can be used to pre-treat waste prior
to sewer system discharge or to treat waste prior to land application.
Pretreatment
Many food processors provide rudimentary waste treatment
consisting of solids separation prior to discharge to municipal
waste treatment facilities. They pay substantial fees to the municipal
waste treatment facilities in addition to fees for the disposal
of the solids removed. They receive few benefits from their waste
products. We have demonstrated our AGF
ClearCycle Process at a number of food processing plants
for the recovery of energy, waste heat, inorganic nutrients, and
a pasteurized organic fertilizer. Those demonstrations showed that
the process was an economical process that paid for itself in a
few years. The process is compact and can be installed at land-limited
manufacturing sites. A high quality effluent is produced which substantially
reduces municipal fees. The waste solids are converted to gas, significantly
reducing the cost of solids disposal. The gas can be used for power
generation, and process heat requirements.
Land Application
Many food processors provide waste treatment followed
by land application of the treated waste. New TMDL requirements
being implemented by the USEPA will require the treatment and removal
of nutrients prior to discharge. Our AGF Processes can economically
reclaim substantially all of the phosphorus and approximately 50%
of the nitrogen in the waste stream prior to land application. The
need for costly, energy consuming, conventional nutrient treatment
is eliminated while meeting the EPA mandates.
